上海大学特聘教授、上海大学拉美研究中心主任、中国新兴经济体研究会副会长、中国拉丁美洲学会副会长、中国拉美史研究会顾问。1998年晋升为中国社会科学院研究员(2010年被定位二级研究员),2002年被评为中国社会科学院研究生院博士生导师,2004年获国务院颁发的“政府特殊津贴”。曾任中国社会科学院拉丁美洲研究所副所长、中国社会科学院欧洲研究所副所长、中国社会科学院研究生院教授委员会执行委员。曾赴30多个国家进行学术交流、讲学和进修。研究领域为拉美、欧洲、新兴经济体、金砖国家、全球治理、中国外交。

Jiang Shixue is Distinguished Professor of the Shanghai University, Director of the Center for Latin American Studies of the Shanghai University. Concurrently, he is also Professor of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He served as Deputy Director of the Institute of European Studies, CASS, during 2008-2017; and Deputy Director of the Institute of Latin American Studies, CASS, during 1997-2008.

He is also Vice President of the China Society for the Emerging Economies, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Latin American Studies, and Advisor of the Chinese Association of Latin American History Studies.

His areas of academic interests include Latin American studies, European studies, global governance, emerging economies, BRICS cooperation, Chinese foreign policy, etc.
