Turkey's politics, business world, and academia are spending days mostly full of Africa nowadays. After President Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN's visit to Angola, Togo, and Nigeria between 17-20 October, "Turkey-Africa III. Economy and Business Forum" was held in Istanbul on 21-22 October by DEİK (Foreign Economic Relations Board). Hasan AYDIN, PhD candidate of Global Studies at Shanghai University, also took part in the organization team of this forum, which was attended by the leading figures of the Turkish business and political world. In various panels carried out during the two-day forum, cooperation opportunities between Turkey and African countries in areas such as trade, agriculture, investments, health, women's leadership, innovation, and banking were evaluated. Turkey-Africa III. The Economy and Business Forum ended with the closing speech of Erdogan, who has just returned from his diplomatic Africa tour.

Moreover, Hasan AYDIN was the guest of a live broadcast on a Turkish national TV channel with Selim Han YENİACUN, another PhD candidate of Global Studies at Shanghai University, on October 23, 2021. In the TV program called "The Agenda of the world", the F-35 crisis between the USA and Turkey and President Erdogan's Africa visits were discussed. In his speech, Aydın mainly stated that Turkey's efforts in Africa would pay off more clearly in time and emphasized that the Ankara administration has begun to be effective in its relations with continental countries in terms of security as well as economic aspects. He also tried to find answers to questions such as "what are the economic opportunities and risks in Africa?", "what does Turkey aim for in Africa?", "Why are Erdogan's visits to Africa important?".
